Debra L. Massie

Ms. Massie was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1958, but grew up in North Carolina. She attended Wake Forest University receiving a B.A. in 1980. She was a public school teacher from 1980-1987. In the fall of 1987 she entered law school at Campbell University and received her J.D. in 1990. She was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 1990.

Ms. Massie is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Carteret County Bar and the North Carolina State Bar. Before joining the firm of Wheatly, Wheatly, Weeks & Lupton, P.A. in June 2007, Ms. Massie served as an Assistant Public Defender from 1990-1997 and as Public Defender from 1997-2007 in Carteret County.
